Case Evaluation
Doris Tennant provides case evaluation to domestic relations parties who seek an expert opinion on the probable outcome of their case if it is litigated. In providing case evaluation, Doris reviews the factual and legal positions of the parties and remains objective, rather than assisting the parties in their negotiations.
Case evaluation encourages settlement by helping parties understand the strengths and weaknesses of their positions. Having practiced family law for almost fifteen years, with several years prior experience in general and domestic relations litigation, Doris is expert on identifying the major points on which family court judges tend to focus in a courtroom trial. She assists parties in recognizing the vulnerabilities that opposing counsel may attempt to exploit and in estimating the likelihood of one party or the other prevailing on a particular issue.
